Tax reform . . . NOT

May 2, 2010

Honestly, does this man think we are all idiots?

Tax reform is obviously too hard in an election year. The truth is that any hard decision is impossible if you are worried about next week’s poll. No matter how long this government is in power there will never be a long-term, difficult decision made.

A typical response found in the blogosphere . . .

Kochie is most displeased…

“You’ve had the best brains in the country make these recommendations and the Government even wimps out on the bits it likes. I suppose we should have all known this would happen. This was meant to be the tax version of the 2020 Summit. Nothing has come of that either.”

Well, the romance looks like heading for the rocks. Even Koch has had a gutful of this opportunistic, spinning, poll driven economic vandal. Rudd even had the temerity to tell us that by increasing the taxes on resource companies, we would actually get more exploration.

Like, the miners are lining up for Rudd’s tax hit and can’t get enough of it!

Rudd’s news cycle style of government is really wearing thin – even among this fragile and frankly, incompetent, man’s media fanclub.

Today’s “Tax Review” wasn’t about reform. It was about getting re-elected and even Laurie Oakes tonight could barely disguise his contempt.

Rudd really is, the most disgusting leader this country has ever had to endure!

Thanks to “Alan of Sydney” from the Andrew Bolt blog. Couldn’t have put it better myself.

    OMG!
“Kochie is most displeased…” with the Kevin “Fluffy” Rudd. Knowing where Koch’s head has been for the last 2 years he runs the risk of frost bite of the ears now his head has emerged, being winter and all. On a more positive note he does have the correct head for it.
